Never does an indoor/outdoor, totally washable rug make more sense than high summer, with sandy towels, tracked-in dirt from the garden, and inevitable drips of watermelon and peach in the kitchen.

Enter Pappelina’s new Archipelago collection, fully washable and highly resilient, with patterns and colorways inspired by the Swedish islands. “After years of grey, beige, and ‘greige’, we felt it was time to present additional nuances and present more color options,” the company reports. In a nod to the inspiration, they photographed the rugs at an architect-designed house in Flaxenvik in the Swedish archipelago.
