Christèle and Hubert moved from Paris to the small town of Lectoure in southwestern France, taking on the restoration of an 18th-century royal tannery. Now operating as the Manufacture Royale de Lectoure, a spacious bed and breakfast, it includes a garden suite called the “Jardin” that opens directly onto the property’s garden. Christèle and Hubert designed it in muted earth tones and in materials ranging from limewash and linen to rattan and ceramic, the suite is a look to co-opt. Here’s a list of the key elements.

Materials
Above: Owner Christèle imagined an exclusive range of 20 limewash paints with Marie Grindel, cofounder of French eco-friendly decorative surface specialist Mercadier. The walls of the bedroom are painted in a shade akin to Oli from Mercadier.
