My first apartment was on the top floor of a brownstone on the fringes of Brooklyn Heights. There were two on each floor, and mine faced the back of the building, with Rear Window-esque views. It was tiny, maybe 500 square feet on a good day, but I adored it. It felt special—a small, calm haven in the middle of a loud, crowded city.
This compact flat, with its quiet stillness, in Camberwell, south London, reminds me of that first rental. I spotted it on Inigo some weeks ago and was instantly charmed by its modest proportions and unpretentious style. (It’s since been snapped up, but for similar listings, check out this and this.)
Here’s a peek at the cozy, creamy apartment, a compelling argument for less is more.
